Due to the volume, complexity and size of many of the financial reports our office prepares, it is impossible for our website to house all of them. Issues ranging from ADA compliance requirements to limited staffing prohibit the Clerk’s Office from posting all of our reports on this website. Our office believes strongly in transparency and providing the public with information pertaining to the finances of the Clerk’s Office. Certain reports are statutorily required to be provided on our website and they can be found below. The following types of reports are prepared and/or maintained by our office. Clerk Annual Budget – The Clerk of Court prepares an annual budget in accordance with F.S. 218.35. Per this statute, we prepare two budgets. The first is presented to the BOCC in June of each year for the functions of the finance department, the maintenance department and the recording department. The second is presented to the State in August of each year for the court-related functions of our office. Both are reviewed and approved by these agencies prior to the beginning of fiscal year on October 1.

- Clerk Annual Financial Statements – The Clerk of Court is audited annually in conjunction with the Board’s annual independent financial audit.
- Clerk Annual Article V Audit – The Department of Financial Services audits our court-related budget for purposes of verifying the appropriateness of our expenditures of court-related revenues.
- Clerk Annual IV-D Audit – As a part of a State “pass-through” grant from the Federal government, our Child Support department is audited by a separate CPA firm to ensure these grant funds are used in accordance with the grant limitations. Additionally, our office is audited each year to establish a “IV-D Cost Reimbursement Rate”.
Management Reports – Our office provides monthly financial statements to the Clerk, the Finance Director and supervisors to assist them in monitoring their annual budget and the financial status of the Clerk’s Office. We also provide quarterly and annual reports that are useful for budgetary review and analysis.
Performance Measures Reports – Our office provides monthly, quarterly and annual court-related reports to various State entities. These reports include budgetary and actual revenues and expenses, case load reporting and timeliness reports among others.
