Summary Job Description:

Perform specialized clerical work processing child support and eviction documents and related duties.  Update and maintain child support and eviction program records.  Provide accurate information and ensure compliance with laws, regulations and procedures.  Work with the public and outside agencies concerning child support issues.  Also responsible for the security of funds, receiving monies, and maintaining accurate records. Education/Experience:

Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent required. Work experience in the legal process such as, paralegal, legal assistant, deputy clerk, law enforcement or relevant legal education, county residency is preferred.

Valid Florida Driver License is required.

Agency Clerk
Wakulla County Clerk of Court and Comptroller
Starting Salary: $39,520 DOQ

Job Description:

Staff professional responsible for a variety of accounting, auditing and financial related duties including receiving supporting documentation and monies collected by various Clerk’s office departments; reviews for correctness; prepares deposits and enters data into the computer. Enters fees collected from Clerk of Court into financial software and prepares reports and distributes funds to proper State Agencies as guided by Florida Statues.

Education/Experience Guide:

Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Public Administration or five years equivalent work experience required; CPA not required; preference given to accounting or finance experience with city or county governmental entity.

Desired Skills:

Thorough knowledge of basic accounting and bookkeeping methods, techniques, practices and procedures; Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word; strong math and written and verbal communication skills; capable of managing multiple projects; must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills; must be detail oriented.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

The typical work environment is in an office setting. Walking, standing or sitting for an extended period of time may be required. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
